Cast from VARCHAR to INT – MySQL

The type for the result can be one of the following values:

  • BINARY[(N)]

  • DATETIME
  • DECIMAL[(M[,D])]
  • SIGNED [INTEGER]
  • TIME
  • UNSIGNED [INTEGER]

Therefore, you should use:

SELECT CAST(PROD_CODE AS UNSIGNED) FROM PRODUCT
