Open up terminal. Found in Utilities.
Type:
cd /path/to/htaccess/file/
mv 1.htaccess .htaccess
For future edits of the htaccess file I’d recommend learning to use vi in the terminal.
cd /path/to/htaccess/file/
vi .htaccess
