Split string using a newline delimiter with Python

str.splitlines method should give you exactly that.

>>> data = """a,b,c
... d,e,f
... g,h,i
... j,k,l"""
>>> data.splitlines()
['a,b,c', 'd,e,f', 'g,h,i', 'j,k,l']
