Chrome does not support localhost for CORS requests (a bug opened in 2010, marked WontFix in 2014). To get around this you can use a domain like localho.st (which points at 127.0.0.1 just like localhost) or start chrome with the –disable-web-security flag (assuming you’re just testing).
You don’t. The server you are making the request to has to implement CORS to grant JavaScript from your website access. Your JavaScript can’t grant itself permission to access another website.

I added config.EnableCors(new EnableCorsAttribute(Properties.Settings.Default.Cors, “”, “”)) as well as app.UseCors(CorsOptions.AllowAll); on the server. This results in two header entries. Just use the latter one and it works.
