First point is that you should NOT use query_posts() for custom queries. The better approach is to use the WP_Query class. More info in the WP docs and here. I have found the solution on another forum but if someone has the same problem than me here’s the solution : For theme options modified through the $wp_customize, use get_theme_mod() instead of get_option() to retrieve the value.
Two issues here. First, you’re not using the loop properly. Instead of the foreach use while ( $query->have_posts() ) { $query->the_post(); //etc. Secondly, in using foreach($posts as $post) you are overwriting the global $post variable, so if you really must use foreach then use a different variable name!
It’s not displaying, because there is ‘the_post()’ called after first ‘of ( have_posts() )’ (3rd line) This call makes the loop move to the second post. So if you do the proper loop afterwards, the first post has already been done
