This would be the way I’d do it. Add the following to your functions.php; class Walker_Category_Posts extends Walker_Category { function start_el( &$output, $category, $depth, $args ) { parent::start_el( $output, $category, $depth, $args ); if ( $category->parent ) return $output; if ( $posts = get_posts( ‘posts_per_page=-1&no_found_rows=1&update_term_cache=0&cat=” . $category->term_id ) ) { $output .= “<ul>’; foreach ( … Read more
As per comment I also see some trouble understanding album and album media essence. You are also mixing up terminology a bit with terms and taxonomies (term is item in taxonomy). So I am going to focus on your summary and leave to you how to put parts together: multiple taxonomy query – taxonomy queries … Read more
a) Create a custom post type and write panel for a menu item called “My Stuff.” Simple. The Codex should tell you everything you need to know. But here is another example: add_action( ‘init’, ‘wpse_17863’ ); /** * Creates a visible post type. * * Don’t forget to visit wp-admin/options-permalink.php once to refresh * the … Read more

I found this answer on the WordPress forum to be of help: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/custom-post-type-posts-not-displayed?replies=5#post-2805344 basically, the poster references a post by Justin Tadlock (who is pretty much an authority in WordPress theme and plugin desing by the way. Follow his blog if you want to get savvy on WordPress.) http://justintadlock.com/archives/2010/02/02/showing-custom-post-types-on-your-home-blog-page In his blog post he provides … Read more
Haven’t tested this, but here you go, lemmie know how it works. You’ll needa do your own pagination links, but that should be pretty straightforward //pagination $offset=”0″; $no_of_posts = the_posts_per_page( false ); //Number of posts to display on each page if (preg_match( ‘/page/’, $_SERVER[‘REQUEST_URI’] ) ) { $uri = explode( “https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/”, $_SERVER[‘REQUEST_URI’] ); foreach ( … Read more
