You can use the Body Class Filter for this to adjust the classes being added to the body tag. add_filter(‘body_class’,’review_pages_classes’); function review_pages_classes($classes) { $classes[] = ‘blog’; return $classes; } Which classes you need to add or remove is probably a matter of trial and error, or looking at the stylesheets in more detail.
What action/filter can be used for modifying the page to be rendered?

I think you can do some changes in the search form so it submits to another page url instead of home. Something like http://baseurl/search-results/?search=foo Where search-results will be the slug of a page with your page template.

An Alternate Solution is :- You can make a form and when click on link submit the form with post request by JavaScript or jquery and send user id with post method in hidden field and get it on profile page get the user data by id and display it where you want.
