For having the /year/month/date/category/post-name you should edit the Permalink from Settings and choose “Custom Structure” and enter /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%category%/%postname%/ value and save it.
Creating WordPress pages with post name as slug
I found an easy fix. In case anyone else has this problem: if you have the Yoast SEO plugin installed you can remove the “category” base from category permalinks in your Yoast SEO settings.
