Googling “site:http://dougmolineux.com/wp/” seems to show that you blog is getting indexed and quick check doesn’t find any settings prohibitive to indexing set. Other than latter there isn’t really much that can be done, it’s up to Google how it indexes and serves your site in results.
If you have an actual robots.txt file in the root of your site then WP/plugins will be unable to override it. Its related functionality works with “virtual” file, when actual file doesn’t exist. Otherwise it might be plugin conflict, try one related plugin at a time.

The problem had a very simple cause – the WP privacy settings were set to “hide blog” without me noticing, that’s why the website did not get craweled well by Google.
