WordPress show descriptions under images in gallery
The default behaviour of the gallery shortcode, when no IDs are given, is to display all images that are attached to the current page/post. An image is attached to a post when it’s uploaded directly to a specific post.
You could do this by adding custom fields to user profile pages, I would use Advanced Custom Fields and make a repeater field that shows on profile pages. Also, this plugin or this one seem to do what your looking for.

You can try using WP Gallery Image Shortcode plugin. You will just have to add the wppgalleryimage shortcode. Then, you will have to specify the image you want to add by name or ID.

With some CSS/HTML I managed to solve my issue. But, I had to enable Gallery title right above the description setting checkbox in my screenshot.
