I don’t know about a plugin, but if you could just add the img URLs to your Disallows in robots.txt. Also, Google is probably getting the image URL from the image sitemap.

Rather than just no-indexing the Page, 301 redirect it. This can be done either by server config (.htaccess, NGINX rules, etc.) or using a plugin. That way no one can actually get to the Page all on its own – it only exists on the front page.

Googling “site:http://dougmolineux.com/wp/” seems to show that you blog is getting indexed and quick check doesn’t find any settings prohibitive to indexing set. Other than latter there isn’t really much that can be done, it’s up to Google how it indexes and serves your site in results.
