I didn’t find an answer to above solution but I have something that works well enough for now. Put other pages I need to link to (“thank you” & “privacy”) is a folder inside the root name “n.” The end result are links that are good enough and not confusing to end users.

I never got to the bottom of this. In the end I backed up the site with Updraft, reinstalled WordPress and restored everything from the backup.
Not tested…but should work. In your .htaccess file: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www.)?mysite.com$ RewriteRule ^(/)?$ us [L] (and yes…make a copy of your original .htaccess before you muck with it!)
The problem was that the function itself was declared before the initialization of button that wasn’t working. So the replacing of button init before the function declaration resolved the issue.
I’ve built similar network sites and the Domain Mapping plugin works like a charm. The only catch is that your network hub (the original site) can’t be mapped to a different domain name, so keep that in mind when planning the sites/network.
This is exactly what multisite is for. It’s quite flexible and allows you to host multiple domains, sub-domains to various domains (or a single domain) or any combination of that. In this case, I had to reset the some of the file permissions of the WP install to 775. The the fault was with the managed hosting provider having this problem with many of their multisite installs.
It sounds to me as if you have one website and you want each ‘site’ to have the same content but just in its own language at its own URL.
